Profile Settings
Learn how to customize your profile and manage privacy settings.
Accessing Settings
Click Settings in the left sidebar.
Tab Structure
Profile settings are organized into 5 tabs:

1. Visibility Settings
Profile Visibility
| Setting | Description |

| Public | Anyone can access moeyo.ai/handle. Indexed by search engines |
| Private | Only you can view |
Statistics Display
When your profile is public, you can choose whether to display statistics.

| Photo count | Total uploaded images |
| Species count | Number of recorded species |
| Years active | Duration of observation activity |
Statistics can be hidden, but album progress on published albums will still be visible.

2. Basic Info
Profile Photo
Click the profile photo area or the Change Photo button to upload.

| File size | Under 50MB |
Profile photos are displayed as circles. Make sure important parts are centered.
Handle
Your handle is part of your profile URL: moeyo.ai/handle
| Rule | Details |
|---|---|
| Characters | Lowercase letters, numbers, underscores (_), hyphens (-) |
| Length | 3-20 characters |
| Start | Must start with a lowercase letter |
| End | Must end with a lowercase letter or number |
| Uniqueness | Cannot duplicate another user's handle |
Handle change restrictions
- Cannot change again for 7 days after changing
- Previous URL (
moeyo.ai/oldhandle) will stop working - Previous handle is reserved for a period and cannot be used by others
Display Name
The name shown on your profile. Can be set freely, separate from your handle.

Enter your organization or group. Toggle visibility on your profile.

3. Activity Info
Location
Your primary observation area.

Toggle visibility for each item using the switch on the right.
Interest Groups (Main Categories)
Select the taxon groups you frequently observe. Multiple selections from 15 Browsing Categories are available.

| Expert badge | Click the star icon to mark your expertise |
| Drag | Reorder by dragging |
Taxa marked as expert areas are highlighted on your profile.

Connect your blog or portfolio site.

5. Publications
Register your books, papers, field guides, and other publications.
How to Register
- Click Add Publication
- Upload cover image
- Enter title and information
- Click Save

Publications appear as 2:3 ratio cards on your public profile.
- Up to 10 publications
- Reorder by dragging
Viewing Your Public Profile
Click the View Profile button at the top right of the settings page to see your public profile.
Public Profile Example
When your profile is public, others can access it at moeyo.ai/handle.
Albums Tab: Shows bookmarked albums and progress.
Publications Tab: Shows registered books and field guides.
FAQ
Q. My profile photo won't change.
This might be due to browser cache. Try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R).
Q. Can I change my handle frequently?
You cannot change it again for 7 days after changing, and people who shared your previous URL won't be able to find your profile. Choose carefully.
Q. Are my albums visible even if my profile is private?
Published albums are accessible via their own URLs even if your profile is private. Unpublish the album to make it completely private.
